Running the Chevin Chase route

 

A statement from Ewen Pearson, Chevin Chase Director:

“As you know this year’s Chevin Chase can’t take place due to the coronavirus pandemic. Some people might want to run the route on their own and while we aren’t encouraging anyone to run the route we can’t stop them. We would only ask that anyone who does run the route be mindful of local residents whose goodwill we rely on for future races. Please avoid Moorland Avenue in particular. Also please be mindful of the coronavirus restrictions especially the ‘rule of 6’ that means the maximum number who can meet outdoors is 6. We would be grateful if anyone who does run the route in the days around Boxing Day doesn’t wear a previous Chevin Chase shirt or anything else that could give an impression that they are running an unofficial Chevin Chase. We trust you understand the reasons for these requests and look forward to organising 2021’s Chevin Chase with no doubt plenty of mud. We hope you enjoy your festive runs wherever you are and stay safe”
