FAQs
Can I order after the April deadline?
Yes—orders will remain open throughout the year, but discounts will not apply.
How frequently will orders be processed?
After the bulk order in April 2026, members can continue to order vests/t-shirts and we will process the order when we achieve the minimum order size (6 items).
What should I do with my old kit?
Our old kit (the blue vest, the orange vest and the orange T-shirt) has had a hard life. They should be retired from service as soon as you receive your new kit. Mine will go in a box in the attic.
Can I personalise my vest or T-shirt?
Yes—items can be ordered with or without your name on the front and back. Personalisation is encouraged, but will incur an additional charge of £5 – see website for all pricing details.
Can I exchange or return an item?
No. All kit is made to order, so refunds and size exchanges are not possible.
Do I need a club vest/ t shirt to race?
Yes—an official club vest/ t shirt is required for all events under England Athletics rules.
What fabric is the kit made from?
All sublimated vests, tees and long-sleeved tops are made from SoftLite68, a super-lightweight moisture-management fabric that Fastrax describes as “one of the lightest on the market”.
Where is the kit manufactured?
All sublimated garments are designed in Ilkley, and manufactured in Halifax, which gives the products a low carbon footprint and supports local manufacturing.
Are the garments vegan-friendly?
Yes. Fastrax states that all sublimated garments made with SoftLite68 fabric are vegan-friendly.
What is the difference between the ‘Athletic’ and ‘Racer Back’ vest styles?
Both vest styles use the same chest sizing, but:
- Racer Back is slightly longer
- The female cut is lower under the armhole
- Both styles are available in male, female and junior cuts. These distinctions are set out on the sublimated vest page./li>
How does Fastrax sublimation work?
Fastrax uses a sublimation process where the entire design—including logos and text—is dyed directly into the fabric, rather than printed on top. This means it does not peel or fade over time, regardless of the number of colours or design complexity.
Why are Fastrax vests lighter and more comfortable?
Traditional cut-and-sew vests can use up to 10 separate panels, creating multiple seams that add weight and can cause discomfort. Fastrax sublimated vests use a two-panel construction (front and back), resulting in fewer seams, reduced weight and greater comfort during running.
What sizes are available?
Vests and tees come in male and female cuts in 2-inch increments (34”, 36”, 38”, 40”, up to 46”+), plus junior sizes (24–32”) with no VAT applied.
Detailed charts are on the Fastrax sizing page at: https://fastraxrunning.com/sizing/.
Can I visit Fastrax or Complete Runner in person
Yes. Fastrax operates from Complete Runner, Leeds Road, Ilkley, and the site invites customers to visit or call directly for kit enquiries, ordering, and sizing help (01943 601581).
How long does it take to process orders?
Because all Fastrax garments are custom-made to order, production begins only once the club reaches the minimum quantity required for each garment type (e.g., 6 vests, 6 T-shirts).
After the bulk order is submitted, production and delivery times can vary depending on demand and the time of year. Fastrax does not publish exact turnaround times, but the club will keep members updated as soon as updates are received from the supplier.
If you have questions about the status of an order, you can also contact Fastrax directly via Complete Runner in Ilkley (01943 601581).
