Our Club

Our Club

Airecentre Pacers was formed in 1985 by 3 members of neighbouring club Skyrac AC. They felt they wanted to cater for the needs of those who, like themselves, enjoyed running but also wanted to engage on a more social level with less emphasis on speed and competition. That tradition has been maintained down the years and the club continues to attract runners from across the speed and distance spectrum and can now count internationals amongst its members.

We are rightly proud to be associated with the Chevin Chase which is organised by the club and held on Boxing Day every year, and is now over 40 yrs old having started in 1979. Entrants to the race have included at least 3 Olympic athletes including double Olympic triathlon champion Alistair Brownlee.

Club members are active in competition from parkruns to ultra marathons and we encourage runners of all ages (18+) and ability. We compete in both cross country and road race leagues as well as being represented not just in local races but also further afield and abroad.

If you’re interested in finding out more click here to find out more about membership and come for a run to meet us. We have 5 club runs through the week on Monday nights, Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings so there should be something to suit all. Click here to see our typical weekly training programme.
