Pacers at annual dinner

Social

Airecentre Pacers pride themselves on being one of the friendliest running clubs around and we are usually only a few weeks away from our next social event. As social secretary, Carly Dykes organises some great events for club members and their families to join in with including: bowling, curry night, breakfast runs (a run followed by a big breakfast), family day and picnics to name just a few. Finally, there is the Club Annual Meal. Held in January, as club members tend to be busy helping out with the hugely popular Chevin Chase, leading up to and over the Christmas period, this is a dinner dance and is subsidised by the club.

Aside from formally organised events, most members make good friends through their association with the club and this often opens up to other social circles.

In addition to active running members, we also have a handful of social members. These are often former club runners or family or friends of club runners. Please feel free to speak to Carly if you would like any further information on up and coming social events. Once you’ve become a member you will be included in all emails about future events.
